First i would like to apologize to those who have been ripped off by the company. But if you have any information on where this company or workers maybe i would greatly appreciate it.
I use to work for the world wide readers service (cya program) continental youth of achievement. At the time it same as a real legit independent contracting job. I was young so didnt know the rules and regulations of soliciting door to door.
To make a long story short i could tell all the illegal things that go on but... Its 2009 i have long and forgotten about doing that kind of job actually something to look back and laugh at. I recieved a call about two hours ago talking about a warrant for my arrest and to keep the law from coming to my house or place of work i needed to take care of this situation. Of course to myself i thought "what the hell". When i called the number to find out what was going on it was a warrant for my arrest for working with the world wide readers service. For dropping us off in no soliciting areas. The signs were big as day and we would tell our dropper (driver) we can come through here. Either we or i was completely ignored or i would get a response of oh its cool we come through this neighborhood all the time they are use to us. Well obvously not!!! I recieved a citation for $500.00 and was told by the dropper and president (mr. Micheal whitely) that all that would be taken care of so dont worry about it. Well me and three other peoples situation did not get taken care of as of today and i cannot get in touch with these people to let the law deal with them. If you have any leads, please contact me.
