We alluded earlier to Feldman Law Center being one of our next targets. Everyday we get dozens of hits on our blog with the tag feldman-law-center. It's either people looking for a way to get their money back or it's the company wondering when it's their turn. If the latter, it's your turn. The former, read on.
It's truly shocking to Bad Biz Finder that there were hundreds of complaints and news about this scandalous law firm back in November and December (when we started to take notice) and they are still in business today. Albeit through some very sneaky maneuvers.
The Feldman Law Center was founded by attorney, Steven C. Feldman, California State Bar No. 103676, in December. His legal affiliation according to the California State Bar is Feldman Law Center located at 27201 Puerta Real #200, Mission Viejo, CA 92691 at telephone number 800-431-0296, not the number on the below press release or any of the dozen of toll-free numbers this company has established to stay one step ahead of the law.
Steven Feldman graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. He was admitted to the California State Bar on May 7,1982 and since then has had a pretty shaky legal career.
On August 23,1999, he was deemed not eligible to practice law. Bad Biz Finder is searching for the reasons. After his EIGHT months of probation, he was reinstated to practice law on April 26.
We guess he just couldn't stay out of trouble, because once again he was deemed not eligible to practice law on August 16. After his TEN months of probation, he was reinstated to practice law on June 11, six months before he opened Feldman Law Center.
But what about Greg Feldman? The State Bar of California shows only one active listing for a Greg Feldman in California. It shows that he works as a Public Defender in San Francisco under the name Gregory Alton Feldman, State Bar No. 140926. We called the Public Defender's office at 415-553-1671 and there is no one there by that name. This Greg Feldman was admitted to the California State Bar on June 7,1989, after finishing law school at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Is this the Greg Feldman of Feldman Law Center? We'll let you know.

On January 5, The Feldman Law Center distributed the following press release announcing its wonderful new Federal Loan Mod Program and the Federal Loan Modification Center was born: Feldman Law Center's Federal Loan Mod Program:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEPRLog (Press Release) Jan 05 Mortgage rates may be low but getting approved for a low fixed rate is only for good borrowers with conventional mortgages. Trying to refinance out of that adjustable rate or high fixed rate sounds good but is a lot harder when you try and get approved. A large percentage of homeowners qualified for their initial mortgage based on stated income and lower credit score requirements. Go to a lender now with the same deal and you will be most likely be denied.
These denials along with the growing debt homeowners are facing is going to result in more foreclosures in 2009. Over 1 million new foreclosures are estimated in 2009. Many of those can be stopped with a loan modification by a loan modification attorney. Homeowners facing overwhelming debt due to a financial hardship including temporary job loss, lower income, health issues and more can quality for a loan modification.
The Feldman Law Center, a loan modification attorney offers a new loan modification program called the Federal Loan Modification Program. The service streamlines the loan modification process giving homeowners relief immediately. The Feldman Law Center is a veteran in the loan modification industry but this new program was designed to help homeowners now when they need it. The program is in direct response to the lag in government assistance that takes to long to help the homeowner.

Greg Feldman with Feldman Law Center said Homeowners were calling in by the dozens each week and asking about government bailout and government loan modification programs. They were days or weeks away from losing their home and needed help now. The government is doing some great things to help homeowners, but these homeowners needed help now.

Now we have yet another scenario precisely like the James Parsa, Esq., Parsa Law Group, and National Loan Modification Center scam where an attorney has misused his status as an attorney to lure unsuspecting consumers into believing that he can help them.
Since we mentioned Feldman Law Center on our blog, he quickly separated the two companies and there is nary a mention of the Federal Loan Modification Center or Federal Loan Mod Program on Feldman Law Center's website. As a matter of fact, you can't even get into the website without entering all of your contact information. Now, why would a law firm have to be protected like Fort Knox? Especially, when they claim in a December 4 press release:

We are consumer and homeowner advocates that will protect you and your home.
Bad Biz Finder is much too smart for you guys over at Feldman Law Center. This is a very fascinating story; so stay tuned consumers and in the mean time steer clear of these companies.
