A teenage girl knocked on the door (she actually banged on it) and was a little more enthusiastic than I liked. She said she was trying to sell magazines so she could go on a cruise or get money. I said okay. She did not even ask me whether I wanted to buy anything; she just told me to look at the magazines and pick out three that I liked, so I did. She said that if I did not want the subscription, I could cancel it within three days of the date I signed the receipt. As soon as she left, I signed the yellow copy of the receipt and dropped it off at the post office.
I emailed American Cash Awards saying that I wanted a refund, and I did exactly what it said to do on the back (send it within three days of the date of sale). Just to be on the safe side, I also asked whether they would cancel the subscription and not charge me, or charge me and put the money back into my account. They cashed the check, and I still have not received a response. I do not understand why it takes them so little time to cash the check when the back says a refund takes six weeks after proof of payment has been provided. That is nonsense.
Do not get scammed into buying anything from these people and their salespeople. Their prices are steep, and they do not even have a good selection to choose from. Customer service is not customer-service oriented at all.
