Mormons create unsafe condition in Manti, UT

I was in Manti, UT this past week during the Mormon Miracle pageant. During the production, which is on private Church property, the Mormons somehow turn off the city street lights all around the show. (I contacted the Manti City attorney about this - he claims he doesn't know anything about the City sanctioning turning off the street lights.)

The streets are pitch black, so this creates a public health and safety hazzard. Additionally, it gives the impression that the City of Manti is establishing a religion by catering to the Mormon Church by shutting off public services.
