Because I left my cell phone at home on my way out of towm for 10 days, I had to use the pay phone at the airport, provided by Faircall Corporation. Nowhere on the phone did it say I would be charged anything more than the "$4 for four minutes" for each of the 4 calls I made.
When I reviewed my bank charges 6 days later I discovered four charges of over $13 each, and one was over $17!!! No call was over 3 minutes. When I called them to dispute, they said that because I used a credit card thay had a minimum fee. When I communicated that nowhere on the phone did it state that, I was told I should have asked. When I asked how I could have known that, I was told that of I had asked to speak to an operator I would been told... Blah, blah, blah, round and round. Then I asked for a supervisor and was told none were available... Blah, blah, blah, round and round.
I have disputed the charges through my bank and now Faircall Corporation won't get the $16 they are actually due.
