Yesterday I received a bill in the mail fro Alyon Technologies in the amount of $233.52. I had never even heard of this company before so I called the tool-free number and got a recording.
It was already too late so I called today only to get an automated service. I persisted and eventually spoke with an actual person. I told him I had never agreed to any such fees and that I would be following up on this bull*.
I've spent the last several hours on a website, Usa Consumer Complaints.com looking into this matter. I was appalled at the number of complaints on this site regarding Alyon Technologies alone. I'm not the first and I'm sure I won't be the last.
I found information on several of the sites that helped me find out what steps I need to take. There are over 700 complaints on this site and still nothing is being done about scam this company is pulling. For anyone out there who has this same problem, do like myself and damn near everyone else on the site and DO NOT PAY!!!
I also have young children who are allowed to use the computer from time to time but, that won't be happening anymore. The day this happened I was surfing the web but NEVER agreed to their terms of condition. Free my a*. While I was surfing the web pop-ups kept appearing quicker than I could exit them mainly in part because you would have to move them over to even access the exit button.
I am possitive this is how these charges were billed to me. There is no way in hell I would ever pay $4.99 per minute to view anything, regardless of its content. I will be changing my phone number canceling my credit cards and closing my bank account as these are methods used for age verification for these so called FREE sites.
Everyone be aware because you aren't even safe from harm in the privacy of your own home anymore. God help us all.
