UGA, Mega Life And Health, AFS, AFS, HealthMarkets This "opportunity" is completely misrepresented - they "pay" you for working, send you a 1099, and then ask you to pay them back! Fort Worth Texas

The only advice that I have for anyone considering what they believe to be an "opportunity" with UGA, Mega Life and Health, AFS, HealthMarkets, etc. Is to run the other way. It sounds like a decent, if not great, opportunity, but if something sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.

First, you end up dishing out hundreds if not thousands of your own dollars to get licensed and market yourself. Then, what money you do "earn", they will ask for back if and when (most people do) you leave. You won't get the notice right away, but wait about 8 months and it will come. Your field leader will tell you, as did mine, that you will not owe anything unless you go out and write a ton of bad business and then leave. I was honest and wrote legitimate business and still ended up in the hole. The key to not owing is keeping your business on the books for a long time, however when your clients start to find out how horrible these products actually are, you won't have much chance of that.

They will promise you great things, and if you're lucky, you might even get to go to "reunion". Once a year, all of the "top" agents from around the country fly into Texas for a 3 day stint that must cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Wth 5 course meals, private concerts by big name artists, laptop giveaways, etc., it's quite obvious as to where the insurance premiums are being spent. It's all smoke and mirrors and while the trip was fun, it wasn't worth the thousands of dollars spent to try to succeed with this company. I just ask that you do your due diligence before jumping at this "opportunity". I'm starting to think that any offer received online regarding ANYTHING (job opportunities, loans, modifications, etc.) is a complete scam.
