ALTERNATIVE TELEMARKETING & OTHERS - telemarketing complaint Letter draft if needed for authorities or consumer complaint agencies. (A DETAILED DIARY OF DATES AND EVENTS FOLLOWS)
*Once we sent in our $750 to Alternative Telemarketing (68 Dorrance St. Providence, RI 02903) we were never able to speak with Marie Foster again. Her boss (& co-owner), John, turned our campaign over to Dei Makenna who, in-turn handed our campaign off to Christina (see diary below). Who, refuses to give her last name or physical street name. See diary of events below. From the get-go they were aloof to basic telemarketing campaign SOPs slow to email back and only used the phone up to the point where they got our $. After that, they hardly ever used the phone to speak direct again. We had to call them. Even the font types and sizes were all mis-matched in their doc/forms attachments (unprofessional looking) as if they had been clipped & pasted/modified many times over (a warning sign).
Before we proceeded with this gang, we checked them out via the BBB and on line through consumer complaint sites. As of 12/23/08- didn’t find anything bad & BBB (Rhode Island) listed them as C - and one (1) employee because they were shown as new (a sure warning sign).
The same week (1/9/09) our CK was cashed by them, consumer web complaints started to appear. As of 1/27/09 we discovered there are many others across the country that have been victimized by these con-women / men. These people know what they are doing. Alternative Telemarketing has patterned its criminal ways identical to other marketing scammers like: Carissa Sanders aka: Superior Telemarketing, Americas Best Telemarketing Company, I believe these companies are all one-and the same gang of thieves. This ring of bandits appear to be one-step ahead of the law. Contact your State Attorney General & complain. State Atty Generals claim they need multiple complaints & a pattern before they can start an investigation. Victims in FLA, NY, MA, NJ, have started to come forth (per various consumer complaint web sites). Attention Victims! - you must get involved and help stop these thieves! Who knows, they might be running these confidence scams to fund God knows what.By crossing over State lines to perpetrate these crimes, they are committing felonies and maybe mail fraud.

Carissa Sanders aka: Superior Telemarketing: Carissa Sanders, Diane McDowell, Emily Sanchez (acct agnt), Tammy Long (script), Heidi Hayne (caller). Americas Best Telemarketing Company - Mr. David Andre (Pres), David Thomas, Miss Ang (acct agnt).
Overview of key events and more relevant communication with Alternative Telemarketing:*Tuesday, February 10. No contact received in over a week from Christina (no name) Dei, Makenna, or Marie Foster. Its been a month and they never did a thing for us - never supplied a single piece of completed work. Never made a telemarketing call.
*Friday, February 6 9:00AM: After twice per day of phoning, faxing, emailing, and texting Christina, we still didn’t have a calling list, or campaign underway. Christina by now reduced her effort to a mere once a week canned over-used email response of, “your list is not in as of yet. As soon as it is I (Christina) will send to you.” She was stringing us along still after 5 weeks from when Alternative Telemarketing received our money.inquires sent to Dei MaKenna or Marie Foster were greeted by unprofessional, terse replies which didn’t help. Alternative telemarketing has zero customer service skills, zero communication skills, very poor professional manners, rued one-on-one phone manners, and most of all, THEY DID NOTHING FOR US BUT TAKE OUR MONEY! Future victims beware - if they really push you to pay them ‘before time runs out on their calling deals’, hang up your phone and don’t speak to these crooks again.
*Thu, January 29 3:06 pmWe inquired of Christina [email protected] that we noticed her phone number is a Los Angeles, Calif. Area phone number but that she claimed to have a Rhode Island address. Christina’s response was that she didn’t have our calling list as of yet but promised to begin calling right away. She said her phone # was voip, she was actually on the east coast.
*Thursday, January 29 9:01 AMOur original contact, Marie Foster, advised us that we shouldn’t copy her on emails on Christina’s lack of results and communications because she said she was in sales and had ZERO to do with your account at this point. ODD THING: Marie deleted all phone numbers from her email and the stringers attached to the message including, Christina’s. Marie deleted all her company’s phone numbers to read as: Direct - 40..., Toll Free - 88... (note the…). Marie hasn’t returned phone calls. Marie never initiated any contact to our company after she got our money. She dropped completely off the grid.
*Monday, January 26 5:37 PM - 13 days later & after many phn calls and emails, we rc’vd email from someone namd Christina at [email protected] / 714-887-8126 (LosAngeles area) claiming to be the one now handling our calling campaign at Alternative Telemarketing. Christina said she was on the phn all day so to use email to communicate w/her. She said she could be texd at yahoo mssgr @ tm. Leads1. She never answd the phn or rtnd mssgs.
*Thursday, January 22 4:26 PM - Dei Makenna emld us to say OUR script (we wrote - not her) looks great and SHE was going to begin our campaign. We asked Dei to identify an actual start date for calling to begin, to fill out a vendor 1099 form, confirm calling hours, and all the SIC codes, and info on what service our company does, etc. Dei Makenna never had returned any of our phone calls to date. And after this message, we never heard fm her again!
*Wednesday, January 14 10:33 AM - Marie Foster emld to say she recvd our $750 check on 1/13/09 for our campaign. She sent a ‘welcome doc’ which was nothing more than mumbo-jumbo. This was the last we would ever here from Marie Foster again (we tried later). She never called back or emld again. When we phoned, we were left on hold for long periods of time only to be told Marie ‘was busy’ and couldn’t speak w / us.
*Tuesday, January 13 3:41 PM - Dei MaKenna at [email protected] (no phn or addrss) emailed to welcome us to Alternative Telemarketing. She identified herslf as the persn who was settg-up our campaign (we weren’t told she’d be calling-thought is would be Marie Foster). We compltd her list order form, script, etc. & to help define our calling lst. We sent very detailed info-even our own script to save time. The next day Dei asked us for the same matrls - completely clue-less that we had sent everything in - twice! So we sent it a 3rd time. Nothing was done by her.
*Monday, December 29 10:14 AM - Marie Foster emailed to say she had some spots open to take on A COUPLE more new clients for the New Year. My company decided to give it a try. A check was mailed to Alternative Telemarketing for $750.
*Wednesday, December 24 11:15 AM. Warming Sign! —Pushy & condensending in her sales manner: Marie Foster identified herself as a ‘Partner in the Firm’ and had final say & that they had taken on the max amount of customers and if we want on-board we had 45 minutes to pay by credit card $400 (what happened to the $750) to save our spot other wise we were out of luck. If we didn’t pay today, we would have to wait until after 3-1-09. Again we declined. Marie sent no less than 8 emails calls between 9AM & 11:45AM to get our money. Nearer to Noon, she was mean and rude like a shakedown similar to what the TV character, Paulie Walnuts, of the TV show the Sopranos did. (unprofessional behavior ’ twelfth hour’ pay or else edicts-more warning signs).
*Monday, December 22 9:41 AM - Marie Foster kept pushing hard and claimed to just find out that they were taking new clients until Wed - Dec 24th - by 2pm. And said rather boldly that our company better get going and get our contract over.
*Monday, December 08 11:18 AM - Marie Foster, Co-Owner of Alternative Telemarketing 68 Dorrance St., Providence, RI 02903. (Direct 401-441-6491,888-835-6472, Fax 401-633-6712, [email protected], www.AlternativeTelemarketing.com) solicited our business via email. She used the same yellow email background w/large stars like Carissa Sanders & Superior Telemarketing did in 08 (a sure warning). For $750 we could have a campaign with them.initially, we declined. Marie Foster’s voice even sounded like Carissa Sanders’ (I spoke w / Carissa in Dec ’07 as she and Superior Telemarketing defrauded our company in 08 w / a calling campaign {50HRS} that was never done-w/wrong leads, etc, and one appt. Who’d never heard of us. When Superior Telemarketing skipped town in March ’07 they still owed us 31 calling hours we prepaid for. That’s if you can even count the 19 they claimed to call in.)
