Pure Acai Berry Pro & Total Cleanse
Acai Berry & Colon Cleanse "Free Trial" Rip-Off

Watched Oprah Winfrey show - topic about weight loss - the Acai Berry was talked about highly, and it was noted that there were free trials for these to be found on the Internet... I searched & found this website bettysweightloss.com (I want to relate that this website referenced both, the Oprah Winfrey Show episode I had watched with Dr. Oz & also a segment promoting the Acai berry on CBS News) This website had links to both the Acai Berry & Total Cleanse "free trial" offers... I ordered both "free trials"... These were ordered around 12/15/08... I went back to my home state for the holidays & when I returned on 1/1/09 I reviewed my bank statement & found that I had been charged $87.13 from the Acai Berry Detox & no trial product had arrived. I called & asked why I was charged period, let alone no product to sample. I asked to have order canceled & to be reimbursed for the charges to my account. The woman I spoke to was very rude, she said that I would not recieve any further items from them ever again...
To date: 2/1/09, I still have not been reimbursed the charges of $87.13, I did recieve the "free trial" bottle of Acai...
The "free trial" for the Total Cleanse: I was charged for S/H $5.95 (as expected) on around 1/10/09 and recieved the trial bottle around 1/15/09.. When I saw the amount was charged to my account, I immediately sent an e-mail (fearful that the Acai Berry incident would happen...) to cancel my order so I wouldn't have any additional charges... Today, 2/1/09 there is a charge to my bank account for $78.84 and I also recieved an e-mail telling me that my "order" (what order?) is in "process"
How do I stop this insanity??? I tried to call the 800 number (no response) tried the "live chat" which sent a e-mail with questions... The last e-mail they sent that I would recieve a response in 24hrs So waiting to see what that pans out... It IS Sunday, so giving them the benefit of the doubt...
I am VERY FRUSTRATED by all this!!! What if I hadn't had the money in the bank to cover these expenses...??? People are living on close budgets these days, and a few OVERDRAFT Charges could put some people over the edge... I'm not all happy with this kind of business conduct... I would have probably bought the product if I liked the results, but have no intention to ever try any "Free Trials" every again... Free is never free...
