Video Professor - WHERE IS LAW ENFORCEMENT!?!?

Like many other people out there, I am a victim of John W. Scherer.

I had been toying with the idea of trying out the, "FREE" offer for some time and finally decided to give it a try, after all, it's free right?

Wrong!!!

When the product arrived, I didn't open it and after a couple of days, I just decided to send it back unopened. A little under two weeks later, I received another one and immediately knew what the deal was. I again sent the product back unopened. I went in to check my bank account and sure enough, there was an unauthorized charge on there for get this...$189.95. I called them to find out what was going on and to get my money back. He informed me that another charge was already in progress! He had the nerve to ask me if I wanted it! Then, actually tried very hard to up sell me 4 more CDs!!! Are you kidding me!!?!? He finally stopped with the pitch and gave me two return numbers and told me that I would see the refund in 10-15 days.

Well, here it is 01/20/09, I have not received the refund. I called again and offered the rep the two return authorization numbers that I was given. I explained the situation to him and I told him that both were sent back unopened. He asked if I ordered on the phone or online. I told him, the Phone. Do you know that he asked me if I read the fine print?! I told him no, I must have missed that when I called it in on the PHONE... Then he proceeded to tell me that the fine print was in the user guide... Hmmm, if it was returned unopened, how would I read the fine print? (Don't you hate it when your superpowers fade? Geeze) He told me that the guy who processed the first RAs, put it in as an "RK" Return Keep. I asked him just what was that was supposed to mean? He said that if I would like to keep it, there would be no charge. (Huh? This whole thing was supposed to be at no charge outside of $6.95 s&h.) Also, how can it be a "Keep" at "No Charge" if you kept my money, and your system shows that you have the product? I told him no thanks, I've had enough of their free stuff. I kept going around in circles with this guy to the point where he asked me to stop screaming at him. I told him if he would just give me my money back, we would be done... He re-processed my refund and stated that I would have my money back in 10-15 days.

Also, the products were both sent back prior to me calling on 12/10/08, when I saw the charge, but, he told me that they didn't receive it until MID JANUARY! Wow! That tells me that there are MANY, MANY victims sending their, "FREE" stuff back and that they must have a mountain of CDs to process. If you are sending stuff back, you may want to spend a couple of dollars to have delivery confirmation.

I just did some research and saw where someone had posted another number to call, 1-800-500-1183. I spoke to Amanda P, (who was quite pleasant and no triple talking!), and she said she would expedite the refund, 3-5 business days. All I can do is hope that she will follow through. I will post again in 3-5 business days if the credit is received or... Not received.

I see some of the responses from VP posted out there. I have one question for you... How would you like it if it were you? Save your triple talk. If it looks like it and smells like it...

You know, I bet the product would sell itself if you would do what your adds say. I don't know why you would have to stoop to this level.

My question is, why is this company allowed to do this? Is this not theft? This can't be legal, can it? They stole $189.95 from me and were in the process of reaching into my pocket for another charge. Someone has got to be able to stop this. Times are very hard right now. I was blessed enough to be able to catch the theft quick enough and to obtain funds to cover it before I had bounce charges and late fees all over the place and damaging my credit. What about the people who didn't'?

A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
