I recieved this letter in the mail. The envelope did not have a return address and my name was handwritten. It was post marked from Canada. I called the number that was listed to get the information I needed. A lady told me to deposit the check and call her back. She would not tell me where I would be sending the Western Union or Money Gram.
I did not deposit the check. I called back a different day to get a return address so I could send it back. A man answered. I began telling him about recieving the check and I wanted to send it back. He said something and hung up. I had not understood what he said so I called back. When he answered he said, "why do you keep calling me? If you don't want the d& thing shred it and throw it away! I don't care what you do! Stop calling!" I was taken aback! I had never been treated this way by someone on the phone! So I looked it up online and found this website. I immediately called the authorities and a law inforcement officer came to my job and picked up the letter.
