I am always willing to give everyone a chance and I also realize that no matter where you go, someone will always have a bad experience story about that place.
In this case, I should have believed the rip off reports I read about VIP Talent Connect. Going to their Philadelphia office was a complete waste of time and gas. Before I went, they told me to type or write a paragraph about what I wanted to happen in the next year. This is all for my son because I'm trying to get him into the business. When I got their, the receptionist asked if we brought pictures and then the "sales person" asked if we brought pictures. They never asked for paragraph I wrote.
The "sales person" brought us into his office and told us a little about the company and then showed us a short video on his computer. He talked about the networking gatherings that are held in NYC and if we thought we'd be able to make it. He left for a few minutes and when he came back he told us that he didn't know yet if we'd been accepted to go to the networking. Then he dropped the bomb. He proceeded to tell us about the cost for the networking. I did not let him even finish. I stopped him and told him that I had a problem with having to pay him for work my son would be doing. He then told me, "then I guess this isn't the industry for you." No, I guess falling for scams is not the industry for me.
If anyone sees this and is thinking about going to VIP Talent Connect - Beware! They WILL ask you for money. Anyone who asks you for money is not legitmate.
