After years of working for E-model and Impact 210, I finally came back unto the scene looking for work in the entertainment industry to see if there was anything out there, worth while and profoundly legitimate.
That's when I came across VIP Talent Connect I was referred to by a friend living in Central Jersey working for this place now. She invited me to attend one of their conventions, or in this case;
'networking events' for aspiring talent and their casting industry insider professionals. I quickly felt an old nostalgia for how I had done this before and gathered thousands of innocent hopefuls to be scammed out of their money just for my compensation. It was all so familiar that It didn't affect me anymore.
The whole thing having started at 5 or s0 in the morning I was not widely awake, and saw many students scattering around the place trying to get things ready, as if they had never set up an event in their entire life!
It all made me laugh, 'cause this is how i started when i was younger getting things prepared from scatch. Further into the event i decided to start meeting, and getting all the parents and their kids settled. I said hi, comforted, and networked with the little known signers and directors in the room. It was all so amusing, but I tell you, not for nothing the biggest surprise in the entire day was when I went near the buffet table AND guess who i bumped into that i had seen in over 9 YEARS!!!???
... Why no one, but Michael Fromkin, creator behind Transcontinental Talent, Options Talent and Model 1 himself!!!
We both stood their for a couple of minutes straight frozen i should say, i havent seen the guy in years, having worked side by side-build up his company which i saw go to hell, and even his fat ass get thrown in prison. I casually got some food, and walked away with my tongue bitten. I couldnt believe this was his orphange to prey on people, how he was utterly disconnected while still loosely connected to make his $.
Wasn't he STILL IN PRISON??? How did he get out so quick after owing all the money he did??? It all didn't make sense, but what did was how talent companies based out of PA always seem to follow a pattern just like his own.
The well goes very deep for me to even guess how he got his feet wet and back into scamming others, but all i can say is... Watch out, he's back and this time he's got cover to keep away the authorities.
