Overdrew my bank acount

I filled out an online application for a "free" credit report, and i was robbed! The allegedly free credit report ended up costing me $15.00 a month, and some months I was charged multiple times; this caused me to overdraw my account several times costing me over $500.00 in bank fees. What I don't understand is how a legitimate company can charge you money without ever presenting a bill of sale, online or otherwise. Does anyone know what i can do to at least discontinue the monthy charge (which im still paying), if not recieve compensation?
