Aquativa Water Refining System Unsatisfied with product, company and customer service

In May my wife and I purchased a Water Softener System from Aquativa. We did so expecting to receive the quality product Aquativa presented to us.

We chose to have our system financed. We have been paying faithfully month after month even though the Water System we purchased has not delivered the soft water we were promised.

From the initial installation the Water Softener System did not work. We contacted Aquativa about servicing the system for things such as hard water still running through the plumbing (more than 4 times) and a leak from the system under the sink which rotted out the wood. They did eventually come out to replace the wood under the cabinet and also replaced the computer on the tank. However, we are now in January and are still dealing with the same issues of hard water.

There is evidence that we have hard water in our home:
1. There are hard water stains on our dishes, dish rack, faucets and bathroom fixtures (which we were told we'd never have issues with again with soft water).
2. We acquired from Aquativa the same chemical they use to test for hard water and month after month our water has shown to be hard.

After trying to resolve these issues with Aquativa we contacted the builder of our home, as well as plumbing company who plumbed our house. They both confirmed that when our house was built it was never plumbed for a water softener system; however, Aquativa still installed the system without informing us of this issue.

After finding out this information, we have attempted to contact Aquativa (local office and Owner) and have left several messages. We physically went to the local Aquativa office and have found out that they closed down and moved out after not paying their rent, leaving behind no contact information. We have also tried to contact the Cooperate office in Illinois and another Regional office; however, the numbers have been disconnected.

We are currently trying to work with our financing company regarding this situation. We are also requesting that while this matter is being looked into, our payments be placed on hold. For the past 2 years we have faithfully been making payments on a system that has NOT delivered what was promised. We are completely unsatisfied with the product, company and customer service and would like resolution to this situation.
