We just received an invoice for. 01 (a penny) from One Communications, our former Long Distance provider. We discontinued our service after our phone service was cut off for 6 days. They maintain that there was nothing wrong with our service but we had no dial tone for six days. We paid what I thought was our final invoice but received another for. 74. We paid that as well. It has been more than two months after we dropped them but received another invoice for. 01 (a Penny). On the invoice it now states that "as of this invoice, there will be a $9.95 billing and collection fee for recovery of this statement". So, if we don't spend. 42 first class mail and a check for. 01, they will charge us $9.95. I guess that's why they invested. 42 first class mail to send us an invoice for. 01 (a Penny). If they're that desperate, they should ask Congress for a bail out. Ya Think?
