The letter asks why she has not claimed her winnings, stating: your ticket with serial # 217788954 drew the lucky winning numbers in the second category of the LOTTO 649 CONTEST held on Sept. 29.
Goes on to state: entitled to the winning lump sum of US$250,000.00 paid to you once the government taxes have been paid. Tax amount is $2985 to be paid thru MONEY GRAM located in every Walmart Store.
Here's where it gets good: Enclosed is a check for $3900.00 which was deducted from your winnings. You will be using some money on this check to pay for the taxes on you lump sum winning. *The check was drawn at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Syracuse, NY, has another company name on the check: Cessna Testron Company, P.O. Box 12917, Wichita, KS 67277... Check # 776522, authorized signature on a secured document with watermarked paper and all... Looks very legitimate*
Last paragraph states you will receive tax information form your assigned claim agent RON CLARK. You are to contact RON on 1 647 686 3102 for further instruction or clarification. Be sure to mention your claim #. Signed "Vanessa" Robert (different spelling of 1st name form letterhead).
