For months this company e-mailed me and told me I had passed up thousand dollar commissions. 26 to be exact. All I had to do was affiliate to share in the commission of the people who signed up under my web site and were now part of my geneology tree. Basic $1,000.00 commissions for the life of the program.
I pulled up the website one more time before deleting all these "you passed up a thousand dollar commission" from my e-mails. All I wanted was to earn money working from home - not get rich - not become a millionaire - just earn enough to supplement by full time job income and provide a good life for my children.
My home telephone rang on Saturday 11-1 and it was Michael Marlin. He indicated my web site had done quite well and I had four recent affiliates and 6 more potentials so if I affiliated now I would receive the $4,000.00 I had earned in commission. (checks go out on Fridays). I shared with him other rip off stories I had seen on the internet and he shared the success of this company - I guess this company was more successful because it has a better rip off success rate.
He told me to overnight 479.00 on 11-3-08, which I did, and I would be paid the commissions from my website. He took me to my website, explained the geneology and people who have signed up, etc. He gave his word it was not a scam and this company has over 297,000 downloads. He said it wouldn't be worth ripping off 1 person at $479.00 because it could cost the company a lot more. I believed him - enough to cash advance the funds and send them certified to Nevada.
The company received my money but my commissions never came. I had even asked him about the rip off reports already listed on guaranteedmillionaire.com, when I searched for similar websites, and he readily explained away two of them saying one paid with a stolen credit card and the other one a bad check. I am sure that was a lie and I promise you I paid with cash so don't let him con you.
What I received was a CD with people's private e-mail addresses, names, phone numbers and addresses on it. I never received a check and called Michael Marlin 3 times - once he answered and said he would get back with me but never did.
I am glad it was only me who paid. I had 4 more people ready to affiliate as soon as I received my commissions. They were spared the rip off and I am glad for that.
I urge you to contact the Attorney General's office - call the people whose private information was sent to you and urge them to do the same. All in all companies like this will move on and set up elsewhere - Michael Marlin will continue to get wealthy at the expense of others - (some of us actually work from the sweat of our own brow - not lying to others) but the bottom, bottom line is this: Both money and soul will burn - Michael and companies like his must decide which is worth saving! Enjoy your boats, money and cars - you can't take them with you - but you will take your deeds and you will answer for them.
