Contacted Juliet and informed her of the situation and the message from Angela Davis I received. Told her we might be interested if she wasn't asking too much, as we could not afford too much. She got back to me a couple days later with pictures and message so happy that we could help her in adopting the puppies as the weather there in Africa was just not good for the puppies. Said all she wanted was $800 for both puppies. I wrote her that was more then I could afford and the puppies in the pictures looked like teacup puppies and they would be too small for our little male.
She didn't answer right away and in the mean time we had gotten information on another female puppy and went and purchased her. Then a day later received a message from Juliet stating that the money wasn't the important thing. That all she wanted was a good home for her babies. She said $500 would be enough to be able to ship them to me and get them a good home, as the conditions there were not good for them. All the time telling me she was a good christian and thanking me and telling me she would remember me in her daily prayers and ending in God Bless you. I got back to Juliet informing her that we had gotten a new female puppy. I wrote and said if she needed a new home for her puppies we would take them and try to get them a good home or if we couldn't we would keep them. I told her that we would send her $100 now and after receiving the puppies we would send her the balance of $400. I sent her the web address of my church and people she could contact per e-mail for refereces. I also stated if this was not exceptable, that I could understand and there would be no hard feelings. She then wrote that she needed me to send by Western Union $200 to ship them, as that was what it would cost and then sending the balance when I received them would be fine. I did this and waited on the info on when they would arrive. Then I received a message from her stating "I am really sorry for getting back to you this late. I am just coming back from the airport to have the babies shipped. Some problems came up when I got to the airport. The customs at the airport said, I will need to register the babies with them so they would not go into Quarantine when they arrives the state. They said, if I don't get them registered, they wold be held by the US custom and will go into Quarantine and it will take few months to release them to you. I definetly do not want that to happen to my babies because I intended having them shipped direct to you without any delay. I spoke with the custom officer concerning the Quarantine and they said it will cost $500 to get them registered quarantine fee. I have already deposited with them $200. So, I decided to give you the notice because I don't have any other money on me. So, I am wondering if you can gather the remaining balance so that I can use it to pay the fees. Please, the balance needed to complete the quarantine fee is $300. If, you can send the rest money that will help alot. The babies are right there at the airport waiting to be shipped to their new home, i will be more glad if you can raise the balance so as to get them released for immediate shipment via the next available flight. I also received a message from D.C. S COURIER SERVICES LTD., Swift Group, Swift House, Courier Service, Kings way RD, Lagos, Nigeria. Then I searched D.C.S. I then wrote her I would not send her any more money until I received the puppies. If she needed more money she should get it from whomever transferred her to Africa.
Since I told her that, I haven't received another message from her, althougnh I see that she is still often on-line on Yahoo Messenger. That is why I am taking the time to report this, as I really hate to see someone else taken advantage of in this way, which I'm sure will happen.
