This company scammed and ripped off my innocent naive teenager with her first credit card

My daughter received a call from this company and being a naive teenager with her first credit card thought she had stumbled on a great deal. What teenager doesn't love magazines right.

Instead what she got was a complete scam and the reality that for the next 16 months $62.40 will be charged to her credit card. When she got the invoice and saw the magazines that were going to be sent (magazines she will never read) and the fact that this was not a one time charge of $62.40 like she had been led to believe she immediately called realizing that she had been ripped-off.

Yes I know all of you employees of this company will say that's not what was said but yes it was. It's amazing to me how so many of us report almost word for word that this is what is told to us to get us to agree but you keep denying that that is what is said.

She was told that she could not cancel because, oh that's right, the publishers had already been paid. Does this sound at all familiar? I don't know if we have any recourse or not. I will be contacting our bank tomorrow to see if they can help. Since it's actually a debit card and not an actual credit card they might be able to cancel the card and start a new one with a new number.

I will also be contacting the company and depending on what answers I get which really I already know what I'm going to be told, my next phone calls will be made to our attorney, the better business bureau, the attorney general and anyone else I can possibly think of.

Long story short. Don't allow your self to get into the mess my daughter is now in. Do not fall for this scam. I don't care what rebuttles are put out there for this report. We all know this is nothing but a scam and complete rip-off. Whoever it was that got my daughter on the phone probably thought they had hit pay-day. Anyone want ot take bets on when she sees her magazines. Bet I win with NEVER!!!
