I found out by my new attorney yesterday that on July 14 when I went to court with Mr. Shumer I was there without my attorney and the magistrate has to advise me of the right to have a counsel. I went to court and Mr. Shumer told me you don't have to stay because I will take care of everything after he told me about what is going to take place as I told you previously and then I left. I did not see the Magistrate that day I don't know what was saying in the court room. As I told you before Mr. Shumer has not return my calls since after July 14. The Magistrate has sent Mr. Shumer a letter dated July 14 that the order of July is vacated. Arreas due the petitioner are established to ZERO. Mr. Shumer had 30 days to answer specific written objection to this order with the court, but failed to do so. This is a case that has been going on since January 3 because my Estrange husband refused to pay child support. I waisted my money and my time. The Magistrate, Mr. Shumer and the system have failed to do the right thing or protect my children.
I need help please, I would like to know what should I do in a case like this. I wrote the Congessewoman in Nassau County and I am waiting for an answer.
I am contacting evryone I think that can help me in order to prevent this type of mistreament from happening to others.
