Direct TV is a joke. They came and just took $127.22 out of my bank account. When I called Direct TV, I stated that the receiver boxes were shipped, so why were they taking unauthorized money out of my bank account? The customer service rep stated that once you make a direct bank payment, you authorize them to take payments as they need to. She said she would look into this matter, put me on hold, and said I must call FedEx to see what happened with my shipment.
I went online and checked it myself and found that the receivers were signed for that morning. I called back, of course, and a different rep answered. I had to tell the whole incident again, and she told me that I must call FedEx myself. I explained that I had traced the package to the warehouse, but she said she didn't see that. She said I must call back on Monday.
I called again, and this time a guy answered. After the story was told a third time, he put me on hold. When he returned to the phone, he stated that yes, it shows that the package is in fact in the warehouse. I asked him how he was able to see that when the previous two reps didn't. His reply was, "I went to FedEx to track the package online." He said that I should be reimbursed within 3 working days and that he was putting all the information into the computer so that I could get my money back while I was waiting. He also said I should call back on Monday to confirm.
Monday comes, and I get this reply: there is nothing in the system saying that I'm supposed to get a refund. Now this person says it will take 6-8 weeks to get a refund. I said, "What? You're kidding me, right? It took you a minute to take it out of my account, but 6-8 weeks to return it?" Then she changed her story to say 3-8 business days. Okay, now this is the last day, the day I should get my refund, and guess what. No money in my account.
Do not trust Direct TV, and should you do business with them, pay by postal money order. Do not give them your bank information.
