This lady gave me a sob story about losing her business and needing to move out of her current place. She had just started a new job and I felt like she deserved help finding a place. I even allowed her to pay me the first's months rent with a couple of charitable donations she got from Senior Resorces. Of course this should have been a red flag to me. She proceeds not to pay me at all for the second months rent, even calling me demanding that I send some sort of documentation to another charitable organization that she is scamming out of money so that she can get a check from them. I refused of course and now I am going through the eviction process with her. She gave me the run around for a few weeks, never paying her rent. She even called me to tell me that she quit her new job. Grrrreaaat. She also lied on her application. I found out later that she is a felon... Scamming medicaid out of $90k when she owned a scam business called "Nurses by Sara" in New Mexico. Do not rent to this lady! Make sure you check out her court records in Colorado (evictions and judgements), as well as her criminal record in New Mexico. Also seems like she does this sort of thing for a living. Landlords... Beware of this lady!
