It seems that local business can deduct child support from their worker's paychecks and spend it on themselves. Such is the case of one former employee of Davis Home Improvements in Bakersfield. He had over $2000.00 deducted from his paychecks last year, thinking it would help feed and clothe his children, but instead it helped Mr Davis buy him and his wife new vehicles last Christmas. The former employee has been unable to get any help from either the labor board or the district attorneys office.
