IndyMac Federal Bank
Loan Modification

I tried to explain to IndyMac that I could no longer afford the Mortgage payments and that I would be Interested in obtaining a Loan Modification. I tried to work with them but no response as of yet. So, I decided to call the HOPE LINE. I was advised to set up an appointment to see a Foreclosure Counselor Loan Advisor. I met with the Counselor and her team brought all the necessary paperwork with me. My Counselor then proceeded to tell me that she would be sending all the paperwork to my Lender and that I should be hearing from them soon. Like, I said I still have not heard anything from my Lender. The only thing I receive on a regular basis is my Mortgage Statement. Well, anyway I got tired of waiting so I decided to call them myself. I spoke to several Customer Service Representatives. I was put on hold several times kept waiting sometimes longer than 20minutes. When, I finally got through I explained to them that I wanted to know the status of my Loan Modification they said because my Foreclosure Counselor neglected to send additional paperwork to them that they could not proceed with the Loan Modification. I ask them what paperwork they said they needed 2 months Bank Statements and also my W2's for 2007. I faxed everything to them the following day. Keep in mind this has been ongoing since April 08'. I figured, I would wait another month or so and call them back. Well, just the other day, I decided to call them back again same senario. When, I finally got through again they told me another story because I had filed BK awhile back that my Attorney forgot to Re-Affirm my Loan and that my current Loan as of this moment was Un-Affirmed. So, now I have to call my Attorney. Well, I did and explained to them my situation. They told me that my Lender should have sent me the necessary paperwork regarding the Affirmation. Well, they never did. So, here I am again calling my Lender. This time the Customer Service Representative I spoke with said to call the BK Department which I did only to find that the Customer Service Representative I spoke with in the BK Department said that I had the wrong Department and that she was in Collections. So, I told her to transfer me to the BK Department she said she could not because her phone was not working. She gave me the phone number to the BK Department so I called the number several times and to my surprise the phone number no longer is in service. I dont know what else to do. As of this moment I still have not heard anything from them. Seems like I'm getting the run around. I decided to make contact with 2 Law Firms. I dont know if this is the way to go but I'll try anything at this point. If you can HELP me I sure would appreciate it. Sincerely, Teri N.
