Where to start. My husband works 50 hrs a week at his full time, long term employer. We decided it would be beneficial for him to get a additional job during the evening hours to help tuck away some in savings. We viewed a listing for janitorial work on a web page that you could seek employment on. We sent in his resume, and got a phone call a few days later.
John from Forest Cleaning aka cleaning green, called and said we would like my husband to come meet with him. My husband did so. At that time he had my husband fill out his paper work and had him start that night. Every day for a week my husband got a phone call from him with only an hours notice of where he needed him to be John stated each day he would get my husband a schedule but never did. My husband was told he would only work two-three hours a night. He had him working with no notice at all, 8 hr shifts!
Father day weekend came around and he told my husband he needed him to work a couple days he normally was not working, and not to work his Sunday evening. My husband said OK but offered to work it anyhow. John declined saying it was covered by another person.
Fathers day we were all getting ready to head over to my grandfathers house and he gets a phone call and John says he needs him to cover that shift after all and it started in less then a half hr. My husband hung up with him, and we talked. Decided this man was way to unorganized, lied constantly, and seemed to have a severe mood disorder of drug problem by the way he acted. My husband called him up and quit and that eve returned the supplies.
Now comes payday. No check. No check for a month. Called, and called, and called. Nothing. Finally called from a blocked number and he answered and said he never received his paper work to do his check.? what? He did it right there that first night. So for several days this guy John says he is go9ing to send out the paper work. Never did. So my husband got the forms from his work and put their name in it and faxed it off to him!
Another two weeks later he says his check is ready. So I went there in Tigard Or to pick up my husbands check. When I got there I was ignored for ten minutes. They gave me the check I opened it and it was only $79. What! I told him we need to discuss it and he said if I wanted to discuss it take it up with his attorneys.
My husband tried to call him and the only thing we received in return was a email stating, "prove you ever worked those hours" What! My husband called into this automated system each night at the beginning and end of his shift. And how convenient he never gave him a schedule!
We got ripped off of not only our time, but well over $500.
