I have been unfortunately been living at McKinley Hill Apartments, aka Pennon, Inc. For a while now.
When I read the ad in the newspaper, it stated that there was FREE DSL included in the rent, which has never been included! It stated there was FREE use of the gym, you can not even use the gym because it is in total disrepair.
Since living here none of the maintenance reports I have sent in have been adheared to. The roof from day one has leaked all over the entire building. As of now, there is like an inch of water all over my living room carpet because for the past 2 years the roof has been leaking. The owner is aware of the problem and only sends people to tar up or patch up the problem, which only lasts until the next time it rains.
We have recently had alot of rain in our area 9 and just in my unit alone there are 16 leaks in my roof, my entire floor is covered in water and mold and that is just my unit!
The gym looks like a war zone it is totally in disrepair and the roof is leaking all over the place and the maintenance put paper on the windows so no one could see in at all the damage that is in there now.
People are afraid of saying anything here for fear of eviction.
The building inspector has been out in the past and nothing has been fixed which leads me to believe we can not trust our building inspector here either!
Anyone who is even considering renting thru Pennon, Inc. Should rethink their decision! It is a horribly kept up place and I would not advise anyone on moving here!
