Industry model and talent studio is also a scam to thier epmloyees

Industry model and talent studios scam

I use to work for this company and like many other former employees of industry model and talent studio and I will give you clear details of this"SCAMMING PROCESS". I am honest and want to prevent and save the trip for others to come into scam company. And am glad to be not a member of such an unproffesion company.
.

STEP1: these so called "TALENT SCOUTS" that roam at malls, six flags are required to have 8 cards filled out within an hour because their paychecks are based on it. These people will stop just about anyone that walks by and appraoch you by saying "YOU HAVE A GREAT LOOK I SEE SO MUCH POTENTIAL" or "I REALLY THINK MY DIRECTOR WIL BE HAPPY TO SEE YOU" and just pour you down with compliments one on top of the other and tell you to come in and meet thier directors without paying for anything! And make up stories about working with big companies, they will feed you all false information about this company so that you can take them seriously. Do you really think that they even care about "CHOOSING THE RIGHT PEOPLE"? No their focus is just to get 8 cards filled out by the next house regardless to how that person looks like weather they are "FIT" to become a model or not. They will approach anyone and repeat the same things they repeated to another person. And majority of people stay smart and are not aftraid to say no. So you are already being scammed as the minute you are approached by these"TALENT SCOUTS".

STEP2: After collecting a hundreds of cards, they get transfered to what I was then, a caller "APPOINTMENT SETTERS". It is an overcrowded room with phonebooths filled with "unprofessional" people that are hired without attaining any professioanl skills because no skilled person that really wants to be a partof a well established company will agree doing this job. I knew I was not fit to be in such environment. Each employee is handed a set of cards where they will continously call your house, your cell and even your work until they reach you. Finally After they get in contact with their victims they will start scamming and give false info about the big modeling companies they are a part of and how many movies most of their "so-called models" were hired in, or how many commercials they have done and magazines and gaurantee you that you will become extremey successful if joining their company and each of them are LITERALLY given a script where they find most of the answers to questions they are to feed their clients that are not true at all! THIS IS JUST A STUDIO NOT AN AGENCY. Employees are required to make each client feel "SPECIAL" they will go out of their ways in getting that job done they will tell you that ""YOU WERE CHOSEN OUT OF EVERYONE TO JOIN THE COMPANY" note that these lines are used for everyone that filled out that card and EVERYONE THAT HAS, RECIEVES HARRASING CALLS. And when asked by customers about the cost they will happily tell you "no cost no obligation" interview that the director "IS LOOKING FORWARD TO MEET WITH YOU" or "THE SCOUT RECOMMENDED YOU HIGHLY TO OUR DIRECTORS". Believe me as an insider of this company I know very well about their MANIPULATIONS. Stay smart and stay alert. Their main focus is say whatever it take you to come in and meet the director thaat is also what thier paychecks are based opon and to remain in that company you need to convince these people for this interview and have atleast 10 people walk through the door. They are not just getting paid $12.50 an hr plus bonus if they do not do their jobs they will get fired.

*employees themselves get scammed they automatically deduct a big amount of money off their paychecks if you do not do the job well and sometimes get fined for uneccessary reasons*

STEP3: Unfortunately if you do decide to come in more and more complimets by the director. They will repeat the lines you have heard in the 1st and 2nd steps but this time they will offer a photoshoot and try to get you to buy these high cost of pictures ranging from $1000-$2000 yes thousand dollars, telling you that these materials are needed to further their career in modeling. And to top it all another $500 to pick out the best ones to send out to companies whre you will be working. These people will pressure you until they get you to buy these high priced pictures that they take from an old cannon camera. Tell you to wait for their calls a couple months for an agent's reply and never call back! After paying fot these pictures you see no positive result and want a refund do not be surprised when they tell you that you can not get your money back because you have signed a contract but pay attention there is written section at the bottom of the contract in small words the policy about no refunds. This is such a wrong way for a business to scam their clients' and do not know how they are still going on with this. They will keep presurring you to buy pictures and the more you pay the more chances of getting into the industry its all nothing but lies the companies they say they work with like GUESS, VOGUE, REDKEN is so they can have a good word out there about themselves ONLY REAL SCHOOLED MODELS CAN WORK FOR COMPANIES AND ARE EXTREMELY SELECTIVE ABOUT IT but IMTS is definately not the way to start a modeling career. Real modeling agencies does not ask for money.
