Attorney James T Van Buren
Massachusetts Probate Lawyer Denied Woman Dying From Cance

Massachusetts Probate Lawyer James T. Van Buren, appointed by Worcester County Probate Court Judge ignored requests by family members and also by dying woman.

All attempts for aid from estate to provide dying woman's share, at least a portion of, were ignored by this Attorney and his office staff. The dying woman was to receive her inheritance but also was dying of cancer at age 49. All alone in life, no husband nor children the beneficiary needed some of her inheritance to properly take care of herself in her last days. Family members had helped out for many years, depleting their incomes. Sister asks lawfirm to call her as soon as he was appointed, then again, then again and told the Judge at the court he would not call her.

A loan could have been given to this woman and she agreed to pay interest plus out of the end result as probate was still going on. This woman died before probate ended, he is being paid by the estate beneficiaries and they were the ones asking for her.

After her death, he of course found excuses why he did not bother but none matter, when a lawyer does not even bother with a dying family members needs such as this, what else could he neglect?

Family member is being denied access to estate information. He gave away all belongings of their parents and his temporary appointment time was up on the day he did this.

This attorney asks clients to sign contracts without allowing them to read them first, then stated he would send a copy of the contract, never does, and then crys he has to pay more to find another solution and blaming it on a beneficiary. Beneficiaries have the right to read and copy all contracts presented to them if they so choose, not if you deal with this attorney and his firm. He then tells other beneficiaries that it is one of their faults for the non signing of the contract, when he did not let them read it and did not send the copy.

There are other issues also here on this lawyer, but the top one is the worst to us all, how can any Attorney turn his/her back on one of the beneficiaries in a dying state? All monies will go to the state now after funeral costs are paid beneficiaries are told. The other beneficiaries will not receive any portion of their deceased sisters share, they never wanted it anyhow, the sister deserved to receive this.

This lawyer needs to be investigated fully.

This attorney did not even know why the parent had died, after numerous requests for health records and even going before the Court named above, this was denied and it is for a possible negligence case. The Attorney then sends the family members a letter asking why or how the parent died, never cared enough to ask however, this entire issue was stated in Court and he was present, the Judge listens, states family members have no rights to their deceased parents health records even in a malpractice possible lawsuit, then reappoints this lawyer to permanent.

This is a Court appointed Lawyer to this estate, a beneficiary tried to remove him yet the Judge let him continue to the point of the sister dying and being neglected. We all know that when you are ill you may need help, there are so few of us that can pay all the bills if we do not work or make an income, this woman was on many prescriptions and could have paid for health and maid care at her home but was refused this in her dying days by Attorney James T. Van Buren of 18 Hartwell Street Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

This family did not choose this attorney a Judge did and has full control over him also. This attorney usually is hired by familys in their time of need. I would suggest not hiring this attorney.
