We recently purchased a case of meat from a door-to-door salesperson representing Capital Meats. We were wary of buying meat in this manner, so first confirmed the 12-month return policy with the salesperson. A large portion of our order contained freezer born, and the quality of meat is far, far inferior to that that you would buy at a low-budget grocery store. To put it bluntly, it was terrible. I expected a full refund for our purchase, given that the complaint was called in ONE WEEK after our purchase.
However, I received a return call from their very disgruntled "customer service" manager refusing to issue a refund. Refunds are against their company policy??? What? So you are to trust that you are buying a good product without the liberty of tasting it first. And, my mind is supposed to be at ease because he has been feeding this meat to his family for years and don't like it? Please. I am the customer. I am displeased. I deserve (and was refused!) a refund. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism, discorteous manner with which this company runs its day to day business. It's a wonder they remain in business. Next time, I will check the BBB before making a questionable purchase. Had I done so, I would have learned that this company has well over 20 complaints on file. Oh well, live and learn.in the meantime, I beg you all, DO NOT BUY FROM CAPITAL MEATS, INC. You will be disappointed.
