I was called by a collector about a small bill they thought I owed— it was just over 100 dollars. I tried to explain that the bill was sent to them in error because I had paid this bill. One thing lead into another and the man on the phone started cussing me out, calling me a low life, no good mother. He asked how I could be a good mother to my children when I am such a liar. I found this really bizarre because I really did pay the original creditor the 100 dollars. I have the receipt. This guy wouldnt listen to me. I asked to speak with a supervisor and a woman by the name of Tammy Ohara got on the phone and she screeched into the phone like a wild woman, acting just as bad as the guy that had called me. She was very insulting and called me a liar and an unfit mother.
Since when do these people get to judge a person on whether they are a fit mother and since when does ones personal life enter the picture? I have 2 children that are very well cared for and are loved dearly. I told this Tammy Ohara I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she told me that she was the supervisor. I said there must be someone above her to talk to. She told me no there wasnt that she was the "top banana in the joint" and then she started laughing real loud and called me a loser and told me to stop lying and to get a f* life. She actually swore at me.
I was so upset, I couldnt go to work. I had to call in sick. She also told me that she would be calling me at work to bug the living hell out of me and I told her I wanted no phone calls at work. She said that was too bad. Then she told me that she was going to send me so many collection notices about this bill that the mailman would have totes and totes of mail to stuff my mailbox. She laughed more and called me a loser again. I started to tell her what I told the other guy that the bill was sent by mistake because I had already paid the bill. Tammy Ohara told me to shut up and pay up and then she hung up on me. It didnt stop there—she personally called me everyday for 2 weeks straight, 3 times a day until I finally had to have my phone number changed. I finally got it straightened out with the original creditor, but these people at niagara credit solutions are animals—expecially Tammy Ohara.
