Barbara Pugh - MoneyBookers
Scam Artists

While checking AutoTrader for a Porsche, we discovered that a 1988 911 Porsche with 44K actual miles was available from Barbara Pugh (who had recently relocated to Scotland), for $7800. After several emails, she sent us a contract from MoneyBookers to proceed with the transaction.

MoneyBookers requested that we send $2430 via WesternUnion to David Krulnick in the UK... Uh huh. Right... We became very suspicious while looking at the MoneyBookers site itself. No phone number or address in the USA. Verbiage and sentence structure is unprofessional. Misspellings of simple words. What we found highly amusing was the fact that on the first page of the instructions (yes, we do read carefully), they actually ask the sender of the money to lie to WesternUnion to avoid having to pay a higher service fee!

Due to the recent lack of response from Ms. Pugh, we thought we would Google MoneyBookers to see what we could find. I was VERY surprised to find as much negative press on them as I did. For anyone wishing to hear more about MoneyBookers, I suggest:

Lastly, we took the opportunity to Google Barbara Pugh and were not surprised to find that unfortunately, this something she apparently has done in the past to other people using MoneyBookers.

Here's a question for you:

Could Moneybookers and Barbara Pugh be in business together and/or one and the same?

I am saving the correspondences between Ms. Pugh and myself for anyone wishing to see them.
