Nh Krystal Cancun
Timeshare scam - fraud by nh krystal cancun, q. Roocancun, q. Roo mexico

I want to report a Scam that is going on at the NH Krystal Cancun.

I was there on Sep. 2007 and attended their presentation with my husband. Here is my story, and I really hope that something can be DONE to STOP this unscrupulous people!

How I came to find out that I had been taken was:
After SEVERAL attempts of calling Regal Resales & Rentals and trying to find out if they have rented my unit 1 bdrm suite. Worth 13 power weeks and a studio worth 13 weeks and always getting an answer from them saying NO we haven't had any enquires from prospect vacationers on your unit I started doing some research on the internet, my fears have been confirmed that my husband and I have been mislead by the sales tactics of the Krystal Cancun Hotel and Resort.in fact, we were scammed. The sales team deliberately mislead us to believe that by buying weeks at the NH Krystal would be a Great Financial Investment since the hotel is located right across from the Convention Center and people were always booking with them.

We were told that a one week rental of a 1 bedroom suite unit was renting for $1470.00, and that the studio was renting for $700.00 Mr. Johaness right away got on his cell phone with Claire Banks and he put me on the phone with her, she right away PROMISED me that she would rent all my weeks in less than 6 months, maybe less since the Krystal Cancun was right in a GREAT location, and that I would get checks send to my home in the next few months for the rental of the units. Right after I agreed to buy the weeks because Claire had just confirmed what Mr. Johannes had told me, he then told me to get the RCI credit card with Bank of America to pay for portion of the total value of $11,960.00 USA Dollars. He then said he would finance us the amount of $5,980.00 USDLL with Sun-Bank. I then gave him my Visa Credit card for the balance of $3,480.00 USDLL.

I am now in the process with Bank of America to see if I can do a charge back, I already put a claim and I have to wait 45-60 to see if Krystal disputes the charge back.

Apparently the LA Times did a story on the Krystal several years ago. Given that their unethical business practices continue, I also reported on them again.
