After seeing the ad for a fee grant writing guide I signed up and paid the $2.95 mailing fee. What I did not see was the fine print and hidden print at the bottom of the page. Apparently, on the internet you can get away with putting the fine print in places a normal person would not look and makiing the fine print finer than the normal print. As a lawyer, we cannot get away with this on written contracts, so why are they allowed to do this on the internet? What is more, why do they get to get away with this and not provide refunds as a normal walk-in business would do?
I was away for one and one half months on business and by the time I sat down to balance my bank account they had charge the $49.50 three times and would only "petition" for a $24.00 refund. The petition was denied and they would not refund anything.
Do not fall for this.
