I ordered two pairs of pants from Sahalie via the Internet. I was asked whether I wanted a discount on my next purchase and I inadvertently (unwittingly) signed up for a Rewards Program by checking yes. Lots of companies have rewards programs, so I thought nothing of it.
First I was billed $1.95 month, which I guess I attributed to postage. Next I started receiving bills for $14.95/month, which at first I overlooked thinking the charges were for the pants I bought. Busy people are not looking for companies to rip them off so it is easy not to catch on at first. It finally caught my attention several months later when I realized I had already been billed for the pants.
I was able to cancel the rewards program and received two months credit. The following month, I still received another bill for $14.95 and this was because the company bills every 28 days and that charge had not appeared on my credit card at the time of my complaint. This practice is a disgrace.
