I noticed there was a debit on my checking account from these people for $7.99, which I did not authorize.
I called them and spoke to a woman, with an English accent, and told her I did not authorize any debit from them. The first bit of information this person wanted was my ssn, which I refused to give her.
It seems this company somehow gets banking information from payday loan websites. I requested my account be refunded the $7.99 to which she stated she would need my ssn to access my supposed acct. Or no refund. I hung up at this point realizing this was a fraud. I will be reporting this company to my States Attorney Generals office.
To the last poster, I think a class action would be appropriate.
