This one looks fairly legit from first glance. Once you actually read the letter which is on watermarked company letterhead, you realize that whoever wrote it has very poor grammar and spelling skills.
Then once you try to contact the company per their instructions, you get a full voicemail box.
I'm still not completely sure what the scam is, but I do not believe it is for real. Especially since the letter I received is almost identical to the other guy that posted a report on these people. The only difference was the fact that the check I received actually matched the amount stated in the letter.
They also use recognizable organizations in the letter which gives you a sense of ease, making you more likely to fall for the scam.
Beware; there are some real slime balls out there.
