When I originally spoke to a rep from company they stated I would get a 5 yr warranty, after wheels were sent they said they did not say that, and stated on Re-Chroming it's a 1 yr warranty.
The owner Bill stated that the wheels they received were not bad at all and should chrome real nice.
After having my rims for 2.5 months, it should have been 4-6 weeks I paid and I asked for a receipt. They mailed receipt with a request for signature which stated on the paperwork "No Warranty".
There was no official place to sign so I signed on the receipt with a note that read "Bill you told me there would be a one year warranty on my 24" MHT wheels".
I called requesting a tracking number, and they said "what do you want us to do rush and send your wheels back, we didn't even get the paperwork back from you yet." They did not want to send wheels until after they received paperwork with signature even if they were all paid for or not.
I called to question the condition of my rims after I read the receipt due to the fact they wanted my signature real bad they said it was because I paid by credit card and they said this is what they do when people pay by credit card by phone to avoid fraud. This happened more than once.
The Owner stated they came back beautiful so we will honor the 1 yr warranty.
The person I spoke to I later was told was the owner, was rude and disrespectful, he would put me on hold and never come back, this was done on my cell phone and there fore I have to pay the long distance bills as well.
I was referred to this company by Discount Tire I expected a good job because Discount is a good company.
I might have got a better job done if I went directly through Discount Tire. I did not expect this type of job that specializes in Chroming wheels.
I am 100% disappointed and the only thing I can do now is attempt to sell my rims because I do not want them at all, they are now damaged.
The only thing the company can do for me now would be to buy me 4 new wheels from MHT and refund my $1700.00.
My wheels came back 90% worst then when I sent them, they have real bad nickle damage, spotting and what appears to be spray paint like chrome on them. The ribbets that come installed on the rim were sent not on the rim like it was sent but in a plastic bag.
Not too mention I have not received 1 of the wheels, 3 were sent and according to them the 4th was as well, but I have not received it to this day.
When I spoke to the owner upon calling for the where abouts of my 4th rim, he had asked how I was doing and I stated not so well and informed him of the damage to rims and he stated "Well we did the best that we could do" He stated this non-chalantly like he did not even care that they had damaged my rims.
Now upon selling i dont even know how to market them with the damage, I could have sold them for a high price even before I sent them to be re-chromed. Now I am not sure if I can even get what I paid for when having them re-chromed. I don't know if anyone would even want them period.
I sent these to BJ's due to a small amount of pitting in the corner, and a couple of scratches on 2 wheels. I am very particular on how I like my vehicles to look.
All I ask is if they could not make them look better than why did they work on them at all. When they told me they were not bad at all they should have said to me that they could not do it better than what it is right now and sent them back to me.
I have sent wheels out through xxxxxxxx in the past and they came back 100% beatiful, what happened to these. And why did the company treat me so badly. I heard the company does good work, if this is what they specialize in then why did I get such bad work.
