I was involved in a car accident in mid april. The driver, who had been drinking a little, and was from canada, pleaded for me and my girlfriend not to go to the police. He was at fault for the accident.
We are nice people, and he seemed convincing, so we worked out a deal and he eventually bailed out of it. So, with the little information I had, I went online in leiu of searching for more information on this guy. I ran across this web detective site. It was my bad for not digging up research on this site, however, when you are eager to find more info on someone who ripped you off&you want results fast.
I had to pay a small fee for the use of the site, which was no problem. I then found out later that I was signed up for a monthly membership which i had not agreed to. However, on the site, you are automatically put in as a monthly member if you do not cancel. I did not read the terms carefully and I did not cancel my "free trial" although it was not "free". Over the span of three months, I have had unusual transactions taken out of my atm/debit card. I realized this so easily, since I am poor as hell and kept getting overdraft fees. The transaction read "rmg membership" based out of oakville california. According to this webiste, i am SUPPOSE to recieve a "privacy chest" and monthly newsletters each month on identity theft and among other things. I DID NOT RECIEVE ANY OF THESE THINGS.
I did some research, and found out that this web-detective site is the one responsible for the unauthorized transactions. Furthermore, this web-detective site is backed up by a media group called "razoreye". Also, this razoreye group is a pandomar company, which is a unecessary term meaning that their members must be "human." Of course, they want you to be human so they can rip you off. I'd like to see someone who has had a good relationship/experience with this company, their webiste is www.razoreye.com.
So, right now I am in conflict with this place because I have read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of theirs, when i signed up for this service and do not see why they can not refund my money. They say they can not refund your money under any circumstances which is a bunch of bologna because I pay over a hundred dollars and got NO SERVICE whatsoever, even on the canadian i was tracking down. I have to do more research but if I can build my case more and find a good attorney that specializes in this stuff to represent me I will bring this company to trial to resolve this matter.
Bottom line, do not trust ANY company online, always check your bank statements and use paypal and read terms and conditions carefully because it could save you A LOT of money and costs.
