I answered an ad placed on www.livedeal.com for a 13 week old english bulldog. I received a reply from a gentleman by the name of Chris Kelly - His reply stated:
Thanks for the mail. I quite appreciated your interest on your proposing in purchasing my puppy. But the question is that will my puppy be able to find a lovely home with you? Do you have a yard where the puppy can always play around? Is there any Children that can have time to play with the puppy mean while the puppy will never never stay lonely? Is there other puppies that my puppy can play with or kids??? If so i will be very glad and happy to give out my puppy to you. I am presently not in states. I was recently transfered to Nigeria on a missionary trip. Due to that its my first time of coming to nigeria. I came along with prime intension of taking care of my puppy in continuation, but unfortunately the weather here in Africa is not conducive for my puppy. This is how i have made up my mind through prayers and painstaking efforts in search for a reliable and God fearing person to help me take good care of my puppy. My little baby is only 12 weeks old and has a current vaccination, vet check, health certificate and 1year health guarantee. My puppy has potty trained, home raise and socialized for tremendous attitude. I am giving her out for free and you just need to pay for her shipping fee and the shipping
Fee will cost you $150. I will be very glad to have you as a good caring parent for my baby only if you can take good care of the puppy as your own baby. Actually money is not what matters, but to find a good caring and loving person.

According to the shipping Company, Shipping will only last for 24 hours to arrive the puppy to various locations in the State.

I thought that this man was legit, so I sent the $150.00 to him by western union. The next day I then received an email from a shipping company called D.C.S. Courier Services, Ltd telling me that Chris and his agent were there the night before trying to ship the puppy but they forgot to inform Chris of the extra cost for the insurance levy which was going to cost another $100.00. After I received that email I became suspicious and found other reports on this website confirming my suspicions. I also thought it was strange that the ad for "my puppy" was taken off the day I sent the money but the next day there was another add for the same dog I had already paid for, picture and all. Please do not send these men money... All they are going to do is continue to ask you for more money and you will never see the dog.
