I called Projector Export May 20th and ordered the Sony 46XBR4 at around 5pm PST. I got the toll free number from their web site. The sales man (called himself Jim) said they had 3 in stock. Then sales man said for a $100 more he could upgrade me to a 46S4100pk. Trusting him I said yes. Upon further investigation there is no Sony model 46S4100PK. I called Projector Export back and again got the same sales man Jim. I stated that there was no such model, only The Sony 46S4100 and that it was cheaper to buy at Sears, $400 dollars less than he was selling. He stated that it was a brand new model and that his company was the only one to carry them. At that time I still trusted sales man Jim and said I would like to stay with the Sony 46XBR4. He stated that that was fine and that the tv would be sent out in a day or two.
On June 5th I called Projector Export At 7:15AM was put in the Phone que and waited. When my call was answered and the phone agents asked for my order number and I told them.
I was immediately sent on a transfer circle (IT ALMOST SEEMED EVERYONE KNEW THE SCAM AND EVERYONE WAS AFRAID OF IT) then my final destination was to what sounded like salesman Jim agian. When he asked for order number, again he put me on hold for a few minutes then simply hung up on my call. I then called back I was asked for my order number again. The agent asked if my card had been billed I said yes I believe so, this time I was transfered to a ring no answer telephone then I could hear the girl whom originally transfered my call pick up my phone call and shove it off again to the ring no answer destination. After this event occuring for approximately 10 minutes I was hung up on again. I Called back again 2 or three more times with the same results.
I then called my credit card provider and had them cancel the card.
Projector Export charged my credit card for the Sony 46XBR4, which has not been deliverd as june 23.
These people are brutal, dishonest, out to steal from anyone!
