I recently contacted advantage movers to relocate my belongings to Sc. Once they got my items there, the stuff that did make it, it was so damaged it's going to cost me a fortune to replace it. They lost boxes of clothes, a curio cabinet, damaged antique furniture that has been in my family for years. I contacted them about filing a claim and all i got was the run around.
They quoted me one price and when it got there i had to pay almost a 900.00 difference or they said they would not unload the truck there. So ive tried to contact them now for almost 3 months and all i gewt is a answering machine. I leave messages and get no response back from them. They were very rude to me, i should of known by the way they treated me on the phone, i told them i have to have that extra money they charged me to got a place to live, the guy i dealt with told me to send him a picture and i might have a place to live. Then i should of known not to use them but i needed to get my things there.
Now im filing in small claims court. Thats not gonna replace everything they lost and damaged but at least i willl have a little bit of satisfaction.
