Ordered a Nikon D40 for the advertised price. Was given an email to call & verify my info before shipment could occur. When I called, the salesman did a high pressure job on me to buy more to go with it—battery, etc.—for a very high price. When I told him I already had that and all that I needed, he told me the camera was a Japanese version and that I would need to pay $150. More for the American version. I told him it didn't say anything about it being the Japanese version on the internet ad, he replied that it didn't say either way. He tried to scam me on a battery for $139. When I had already ordered one for $16.00 from another website and have it and know it is the correct one for the camera. He told me it wouldn't work. He continued to pressure me with everything he had while I kept saying over and over again, "JUST CANCEL THE ORDER". What a scam!!! Also, beware of camera addict too! —They did the same thing to me. Same story—I believe the same salesman too—sounded just like him! —Both Brooklyn, NY based.
