Sinister, Lying, Deceiptful Deputy Croft issues bogus traffic tickets

Thursday, June 12 @ 5:00 P.M. Imperial Beach, CA - coincidentally the same day Officer Croft decided to play his power game with the unsuspecting/innocent public, namely, me.

While I was sitting at a red light, a signal on Palm Avenue near CVS pharmacy, around 9:05 A.M. Thursday, 6/12 I looked over my dog's shoulder (Trooper was in the front passenger seat) to the right and saw Office Croft on his motorcycle. He indicated with his finger for me to pull over to the side of the road and told me to pull over when traffic was clear. I asked him why he was stopping me and he said he'd tell me after we pulled off the road.

After the signal changed to green I merged to the right and parked in the CVS drug store parking lot. I asked Officer Croft why he pulled me over and he said "because I have a dog riding in he front passenger seat and he needs to be tethered to the back seat." I explained to Officer Croft that I was unaware of this law. I was asked for my Driver's License, registration and proof of insurance which I presented to Officer Croft. I asked Officer Croft if I could be issued a "warning" and he expressed with a sinister expression and with glee that "I do not issue warnings." This officer is a bully who seems to enjoy harassing the unsuspecting public.

Officer Croft then told me to sign the ticket - which I did knowing that if I did not I would be arrested for refusal - and I had my son's graduation ceremony to attend at 5:00 this same day - which I believe Officer Croft was aware of our local high school's graduation date and fully took advantage of the date - I would not be a bit surprised to learn that Officer Croft issued multiple erroneous tickets that same day to other unsuspecting parents of graduates. Croft knew we had to sign the tickets whether or not we were actually committing a traffic violation because we did not want to be arrested and miss our child's high school graduation.

Not once did Officer Croft indicate to me he had stopped me for any reason other than my dog riding in the front seat w/me, he never mentioned that he used radar (which is a total lie on his part due to the simple fact that I always use my cruise control due to the price of gasoline), traffic that morning was too thick to travel at 50 MPH and also I respect and abide by the speed limit in my residence city.

I called the next day to file a complaint with the Sheriff's Dept in Imperial Beach. Sgt. Sanchez, who identified himself as Officer Croft's supervisor, listened to my story and checked out the ticket number I was issued and told me I had the right to fight this in Court. He believes his lying Officer.

What a bogus charge by Officer Croft and apparently his supervisor is no better!!! How dare they infer I was speeding, neglect to discuss the charges, harass me on the very day they knew parents would be planning to attend their children's graduations. Sign or go to jail! I'm sick and tired of being harassed by law enforcement simply because I'm a woman.

This officer reminds me of Craig Peyer of the Highway Patrol, the officer who murdered Cara Knot. This ticket is totally bogus and unfair. I do not believe we should have such ill characters in our law enforcement.
