Mwi Essentials
Consumer rip-off fraud unauthorzed checking account deductions

The end of September, I ordered The Aerobed Mattress Topper from an infomercial I saw on TV.

The number I called (1-800-598-8787) was to a telemarketing company. I was given all the information on the product I was interested in and I willing gave my information to the person on the phone for 4 monthly deductions to be made for the product. I was then asked if I would be interested in a grocery club for a one time membership fee, and then a small monthly payment. I said I wasn't interested in anything like that, had no use for it. I took notes during the conversation so I could be sure what I was doing. I was a little leery of ordering from an infomercial.

Just over a week ago I was going through my notebook and saw the notes I took at the time of this call, and saw the notation for this grocery club, and decided I had better call the telemarketing company to be sure there wasn't going to be a deduction, I never received any information on it with the mattress, but I felt I needed to make sure.

The Telemarketing company had me call Aero Mattress about the Club. Aero had me call the Telemarketing company back, in which I asked to talk to a supervisor. This person assured me that if I didn't get the information packet I would not be charged for the Club. I wanted to make sure, and I asked for the Company Name of the Grocery Club, I was told he couldn't give that information out, since I wasn't a customer. I asked for his name, and he said he couldn't give me that information either, I asked if he had a employee number, and he said he couldn't give me that information either. He assured me over and over that I would not be charged.
Guess what. On

11/21 mwi*essentials, 877-244-8258, ct nc checkcard trans. Debit $96.00.. This was NOT Authorized, and I was assured that I would not be charged.

I hold the telemarketing company as much responsible for this rip off as I do MWI. They passed my information on to MWI with out my consent!

I even called back to make double sure. And I was still ripped off! Isn't it interesting that the charge came after I made the calls to be sure I wasn't going to be charged.
