Global career management is a rip off.
GCM claims help to obtain a higher level job with the broad network of recruiters and executives. This claims could not be more false in many aspects.
First, all they did for me was reformat my resume and charged me 4k funds. Anyone could reformat a resume and with this new resume i was suppose to attract director level or higher head hunters. The fact is my original resume actually attracted more higher level head hunters asking for an resume.
Second, the "career consultant" Harmon from the Seattle office just as Lou Spandoni is a complete crack. You sit humblely with them and asking them for advice but they do not teach you anything new or even worth while. They pretty much say tell us where you want to apply. So, in fact you are the one finding all the opportunities making the their consultant worthless.
Third, GCM tried to charge me 3k more for mailing my resume. They claim the resumes are were in premium paper making people reallly excited to view your resume -this is also far from the truth. So many of the mailing was returned back to me due to false addresses and I was able to see a sample of the resume GCM sent. The resumes presentation was not impressive at all. It was bad enough GCM resume presentation was poor but many time they did not get even the right address. Most of all the random resume mailing to companies I chose produced no results.
GCM does not provide decent career mentoring nor do they find real opportunities for you. As a consumer the service they provide for is completely worthless. I believe at the bill rate they charged my session were 150$ per hours of which many appointments were not even professionally kept.
