Publishers with an apostrophe "'s" - WATCH IT... With a canadian cell phone number? Are you kidding?

Here's a letter that came from Publisher's Clearing House in Yonkers, NY (11255 Woodworth Ave, Suite 403. The $4,700 check is written on Eagle Components, Inc.in Gaithersburg, MD and drawn on the Sandy Spring National Bank in Olney, MD. The Eagle Components company is legit... in fact they have a warning on their homepage about what someone seems to be doing with their 'good name'.

All my Mom had to do was call Mr. John Edwards @ 1-888-284-7748, Ext. 1 with my verification code before cashing the check. The Internal Revenue Services (note the use of plural) phone number is a cell phone registered in Montreal (514) 574-4329 Type: Cell Phone; Provider: Fido Solutions; Location: Montreal, Qc, QC)

Here's the text of the letter:

Award claim final notification

After numerous attempts to reach you by phone have failed, we are pleased to inform you through this letter that our network system shows you as the lucky winner of unclaimed price money in the acoumt of $500,000.00 USD. The system indicates that you were selected as a winner for the April sweepstakes draw. All the participants were selected through a computer ballot system drawn from Readers Digest, mail in ballot forms, internet submissions, Publishers Clearing House, computer games sweepstakes database which are from USA and Canada.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Enclosed is a check for $4,709.00 USD (FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED NINE DOLLARS) payable to you to pay for applicable processing fees and must be deposited into your account only after speaking with your claims agent.

Your claim number is THH-XXXXXXX-VY. We ask that you keep your claim number confidential until your claim has been properly processed and funds remitted to you as part of our security protocol to avoid any double claims.

All Prize money must be claimed by June 27th. Please call your North American Claims Agent, Mr. John Edwards at 1-888-284-7748 Ext. 1 upon receipt of this notification for futher instructions. Publisher's Clearing House offices are open Monday Through Friday 10:00AM to 6:00PM EST.
