Steve & Sheila Glenn rented a newly renovated house from us for almost 5 years. When they moved into the house everything was brand new. New carpet, new appliances, newly painted, new linoleum, it was pristine. They were part of our family and we loved them. I worked with Steve at GM. The house was located on our farm, so we lived there too.
When they moved they left a mountain of trash and carpets full of cat urine. The refrigerator was still full of food, the cupboards still full of dishes and food.
Every closet was crammed full of shoes, clothes, craft supplies, etc. 18 large trash bags of just clothes went to Goodwill. We filled a 27 cu. Ft dumpster to the top. That's a million exhausting trips from the house to the dumpster.
The crud and smell of cat urine they left is beyond words. We had to wear masks as we worked to remove their stuff. The new stove alone required 8 hours of scrubbing and chipping to remove 5 years of grime. Shamefully, it had never been cleaned.
They promised my children to pay them for cleaning, but since the day they left they have not contacted us at all. Shame on them! I want the money that was spent on their behalf.
