Today Tuesday, November 26,2202 I was ripped off by two guys. One an older man probably in his 40's, somewhat overweight, convinced me into buying an Audiofile home system. The other guy was younger maybe in his late 20's and all the time he remained seated at the front seat. They were driving a white van with Louisiana license plates. They had two complete systems two HT 2206 and two sets of long rectangular speakers.
The story they gave me was that they had made a mistake back in Louisiana by giving them an extra set of speakers and an Ht 2006. They showed me a magazine and the value of the Ht 2006 was $1200. I was not interested at all but the deal sounded great. So I offered to give them what I had in my wallet which totalled to $80. They refused, and invited me to acquire some from my savings account. They were kind enough to follow me to the bank.
This is where my situation may help to prosecute these impostors. The older guy followed me into the bank, I am sure a camera spotted him while I was getting the money out. This is a regions bank and I know the place is packed with security cameras. If we could contact them we could have the guy's face. Anyway they scamed me. Also at the end I told them that I did not want the system at all.
The older guy kept urging me to get it in my car. I had an intuition that it could be a scam. Anyway I agreed because I was hoping to give this extremely expensive audio system to my uncle as a Christmas gift. So much for my holiday hopes. Anyway I asked the guy if I could keep the magazine and he refused, they got into the car and left. Luckily I spotted the license plates. I have the number if it helps in anything, I thought of not disclosing it by e-mail.
I kept looking to verify the cost of my new speakers, I can not find them. The system speakers do not work with the subwoofer, and the subwoofer works but is not worth it. I hope those guys and whoever is running this network of scams get penalized. There are a lot of innocent hard-working individuals, like me, that do not deserve to be treated in this form. We are not suppossed to treat each other in this manner. Those guys deserve an extra crispy life in hell.
I hope this report helps people. I would like to be contacted so that I know what to do about the matter. It would be really cool if local news all around the entire united states would inform our neighbors of what is happening around otherwise this is going to be an continuing annyoance. Bad peopel are getting richer and the good guy are getting screwed.
