In 2005 I had emergency surgery at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Due to the fact I was a student at MMI and was not working I filed for free care and received it. My entire hospital bill was written off. When I called Florida Emergency Physicians they said they could not find a bill for me and to forget the notice I had received from Gold Key Credit. Now I am again receiving notices from Gold Key and they say I still owe Florida Emergency Physicians. I believe this bill was taken care of when I applied for medical assistance, therefore I don't understand why they are again trying to collect from me three years later.
